FY 2007 Accomplishments
ORS collected over $206.4 million in FY2007, representing an increase of 5.0% from the previous year.
Child support collections totaled $176.6 million. Of that amount, $154 million were distributed to children and families, $16.7 million were distributed to reimburse state and federal governments for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and $5.9 million were distributed to the Department of Human Services on behalf of Children in State's care.
Over $24.8 million were collected on behalf of the Department of Health.
Social Security and State Hospital Adult collections totaled $2.4 million.
Another $2.6 million were collected in fees.
The state’s share of collections totaled over $6 million and was returned to the General Fund.
The percentage of child support cases with support orders established was 90.8%.
Over 96.3% of support orders contain provisions for health insurance.
Paternity is an unresolved issue in only 4% of all child support cases.
ORS verified insurance coverage on 203,923 Medicaid Recipients, helping to avoid over $135.6 million in Medicaid costs.
